Tina Spires and James Gross, working with Barton Willmore and Studio Egret West, assisted in the authorship and development if this insightful paper submitted to Land Securities and Places for People, as apart of a short-listed competition entry into visioning the future of Harlow North (now Gilston Park).

The submission pioneered the notion of the cellular village, reflecting on the way London has grown as a collection of villages, without a clear heart or plans for uses in certain places, and pre-programmes organic growth and place competition to allow very neighbourhood he chance to work to its strengths a define itself buy the community that dwells within.
