Whittlesford Masterplan

With an a established relationship, advising landed estates group Grosvenor, on strategic design since 2011, we were asked to consider landholdings on the countryside edge of Cambridgeshire, in close proximity to strategic infrastructure of Whittlesford Parkway Station, the A505, the A11 and M11. This area of the County is home to some of the most picturesque (and expensive) villages in the UK.

With close proximity to some of the world’s leading research and development laboratories in life-science and healthcare, the need for accessible, affordable housing with access to Cambridge City and the City-fringe, is a major priority as espoused in recently authored socio-economic reports for the Region. Urban Place Lab is actively supporting Grosvenor on the identification of sites, and the masterplanning of these through the local plan process.
